Who is your target customer? You need to be uncomfortably precise

When you create your ideal customer avatar, you need to be able to VISUALIZE that person! This helps you speak to their fears, their desires, where they are now, where they want to be and why they are hesitating to move forward with you.

One of my customer avatars in a real estate agent. But not just any real estate agent… meet “Kim”:

My target customer is a 40-year-old real estate agent who is not selling enough homes to meet her goals. She wants to retire her husband, take her kids to nice places, and have fun!

She is stressed out, does not know what to do differently, is starting to get used to failure, and thinks that success is outside of her reach.

She has more than one kid. She believes in God but is losing faith.

She really enjoys a quick read. She is looking for inspiration, motivation, tips, strategies, easy to implement solutions, and needs help with technology!

She does not like taking advice from women, and she has issues with older men talking down to her. The reason why she is drawn to me is because I am fun, non-threatening, easy to understand, and I give her things that she can implement right away!

She is looking for someone to help her, but she also once the freedom to do things herself!

She is proud of her independence but is also looking to build a team – where she is in charge!

Notice how specific I am? I wrote this during an exercise at my Facebook Marketing Bootcamp. You can almost visualize her, can’t you?

Do you see how easy it is for me to speak directly to her, now that I can picture her?
