An Olympic athlete devotes their life to getting better and achieving their dreams, and they’re celebrated.
An entrepreneur devotes their life to getting better and achieving their dreams, and they’re advised to re-evaluate their life balance.
Hmm.
Why do we celebrate the hustle of some, but not others? I think it’s because *we* celebrate the achievement of the athlete or actor, but the achievement of the entrepreneur is viewed as selfish ambition.
I believe some look at the athlete and see a God-given advantage that they must work to fully realize (they’re born taller, faster, stronger, or just have “the gift”) – so we celebrate their pursuit of being the best they can be.
We look at the entrepreneur and watch as they pursue being the best they can be, but the result of the entrepreneur’s labor doesn’t benefit the collective so it’s not celebrated.
I want to change the narrative, and I want you to know I see you!
I celebrate you, Entrepreneur!
I am rooting for you!
I encourage your pursuits.
I am praying for you to overcome your struggles.
I am inspired by your victories
I see your sacrifice.
You got this!
