Fire Up Fridays: Selling = Service

If you believe that the product that you are selling will benefit the life of the person who buys it, would it be a stretch for me to tell you that your hesitancy in picking up the phone is actually selfish?

You probably think I’m crazy, but let me continue…

Most first time sales people get into sales because they are desperate.

Many times the mindset around the sales person is a negative one because they have had a bad experience in the past.

But what if I told you that sales is actually one of the easiest ways for you to positively change someone’s life for the better?

Consider this: if you have the answer to someone’s problem, then you can change their life! You can make it better!

At the Branning Group we do digital marketing for small businesses. Most of the time our sales presentation start with a simply asking where the prospect is having a hard time. We can then respond to their issues with our solutions, and if our price is within their budget then we are providing them with a key service that will grow their business.

When their business grows their business improves, their financial situation improves and in turn their family gets more financial security.

It’s a big deal.

The same applies to your product or service – or at least the same should apply to your product or service. When you make a sale, you are improving their life.

So go sell some more! Change some lives, starting with your own.

Now that you’re passionate about selling to as many people as possible today so that you can impact as many people as possible, let’s talk goal setting!

Jesus didn’t send his disciples out alone, he sent them out 2 x 2 because accountability and encouragement are crucial for our growth and reaching our Destiny. Do you have an accountability partner? You should!

I believe in applauding and encouraging each other often, because we don’t get enough! I aim to change that. I start all my mastermind calls and my coaching calls by asking for the latest WINS so that I can applaud and encourage you!

Goal setting tip: set ACHIEVEMENT goals and HABIT goals! An achievement is over once it is completed, a new habit is a change in how you approach aspects of your life.

When it comes to your daily habits (and where they’ll inevitably lead you) you either accept that this is the way it’s going to be, or you commit to change it.

When setting goals, identify what would happen if you do not hit those goals:
– How would you feel about yourself?
– How would your family be affected by your failure?
– What financial implications would you have to deal with?
– What is the domino effect of your failure?

Successful people consistently do what failures do not do. Consistency is key!

When you set goals, use the BAM model:
B – baseline
A – amazing
M — miraculous

Stay persistent as you work on reaching your goals. Last week I talked a lot about persistency – go back and listen to last week’s FIRE UP FRIDAY – and this week I want to encourage you to strive for consistency. Persistent consistence is inevitable success
