Websites for Insurance Agents

As an Insurance Agent having a quality website is a just as important as having a strong social media presence if you are going to attract and keep new clientele and stand out from other insurance agents in your area. To make the most of your website, the Branning Group recommends that Insurance Agents adhere to the following seven tips.

1. Make sure your website is a resource for your clients.

Your goal should be to make your website a resource for your visitors, first it will increase the chances that these people will do business with you, and second will increase the number of referrals you receive. Include valuable information such as claim numbers and other forms. Also be sure to include your contact info, to make it easy for people to reach you.

Pro Tip: Include a contact lead form at the bottom of every page because you never know where your visitors will wind up landing!

2. Make sure that when people Google you, they can actually find you.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is imperative! You need to make sure your site is seen, not only when people type in key words or your business name, but also when people search for insurance in your area.

3. Find your lane in the world of SEO!

However, do not try to compete in the SEO world with big insurance companies such as State Farm or Allstate. They have a huge portion of the market covered and you will never be able to compete with them. Instead focus on finding your lane or niche!

4. Make it easy for people to do business with you.

When people visit your page you want to make it extremely easy for them to do business with you. Make it clear where you are located or what your contact info is, make it easy for potential customers to request or receive a quote, (again) put contact forms on every page, make it easy to find you on social media, and make it easy for people to refer you to their network.

5. Include a blog on your website.

Blogging is essential! As mentioned in a previous blog it is imperative to your business that you focus your energies on selling yourself and not your product. Blogging helps you accomplish this. Blogging allows your audience and customers to learn who you are, what makes you tick, what you are passionate about, etc. Blogging can be a game changer for you.

Pro Tip: Use your blogs on your social media and in your email newsletters as well!

6. Include videos.

Videos will bring your website much more engagement and success. Include a short welcoming video on your homepage and include videos on your blogs.

Remember: At the end of the day people can buy insurance from anyone. So do not focus on selling your product, focus on selling you! Videos can help you sell yourself!
