USE FACEBOOK GROUPS TO MARKET YOUR COURSE

Do you have a course to sell? Facebook groups are a goldmine!

In my recent blog post talking about the Future of Course Building, I shared that most students expect to be offered access to an exclusive community. This isn’t a problem, this is an opportunity! Facebook groups are a great way to add a ton of extra value for your students because now they have exclusive access to you.

So what does this look like? So if you join my training program and follow my advice to create a “Founders Funnel” you will have some people that are currently taking your course. Add those people to a Facebook group so that you have them all together in one big community and then schedule out some conversations that you’re going to be having with this group. Conversations could be asking questions, delivering more value, conversations could be silly and off topic – you want to create a tribe for yourself.

As you make updates to your course, as you add new bonuses or new deliverables you will have a group in there of people that you can communicate with almost in real time.

Facebook groups are also a great way for you to bring people in to your world. Consider my friend Terilee. She’s selling a course on how to write a book in a day for $97 (at the time of this writing, it may be more expensive now) – she’s going to drop all of her students into her “Authority Builder” Facebook group. In this Facebook group she talks about the training and resources that are available to students of her upper level courses, as well as adding value to the people that have bought her Write a Book in a Day training program. Her buyers that are following the Write a Book in a Day course are going to see all the added value that the “upper level” students are getting on the extra phone calls only available to Authority Builder students. When Terilee announces updates to the Authority Builder course all of her clients – no matter what they purchased – will see the announcement in the group, so she’s organically pushing everyone to upgrade.

Creating your own Facebook group also creates a great community, it creates a tribe. Within your group you could have member-to-member support, you can create a culture where you don’t always have to jump in to personally assist every single person that has an issue or a question.

I hope you see all of the reasons for you to create your own group. I highly recommend that you do it.

If you have any questions let me know, I’m here to help. I have created and managed multiple groups and it has been a great way for me to not only reach my audience but continue to make more sales of my courses.
